Hello and welcome to a very Spring like episode of the Doorway, first broadcast on 103 The Eye here in the UK last night.

Sadly the nice weather that inspired the show didn’t last too long but the music is timeless!

I’m introducing a new feature in next week’s show where I go in hunt of long lost and forgotten classic albums. I’ve been digging around over the last couple of months and have unearthered some really interesting finds.  If there is something that you think will interest my very discerning audience, please let me know!

Have a good week!

Ian

Happy Sunny Sunday!

Here’s the podcast of last night’s edition of the Doorway, broadcast on FM and online on 103 The Eye here in the UK.

Inspiration for this show came from the amazing Mars Perseverance landing. There’s reference to space travel and the red planet throughout the show.

There’s also a Yes inspired section as well as the usual mix of old and new.

New this week comes from The Downes Braid Association, Lifesigns and an mind blowing track from The Amorphous Androgenous featuring none other than Peter Hammill and Paul Weller.

Enjoy the sunshine and have a good week!

Happy Sunday!

Here’s the podcast of last night’s Doorway, broadcast on 103 The Eye here in the UK last evening.

This week’s show features the incredible new album by Transatlantic, The Absolute Universe. Given the nature of these records (it does come in two versions!) its hard to pick individual tracks but I hope I have given you the essence of what is an essential listen for any prog fan.

There’s the usual mix of old and new with a real emphasis on virtuoso guitar playing, and some summer sunshine thrown in for good measure.

Have a great week!

Happy Sunday!

Here’s the Valentine’s Day issue of last night’s Doorway, broadcast on 103 The Eye here in the UK, and there’s not a love song in sight you’ll be delighted to hear!

However, the show is book-ended by tracks from the new Lifesign’s album, Altitude and celebrates the 50th Anniversary of that classic Jethro Tull album, Aqualung.

Loads to enjoy as we wait for the weather to warm up and covid to retreat!

Next week is Transatlantic………………………..

Have a great week.
