Happy Monday Folks!

Here’s the podcast of the show first broadcast here on 103 The Eye here in the UK on Saturday Evening.

This week we take a look at what was happening in 1984 and a proper look at some of the best contemporary UK progessive rock. Tracks from Freedom to Glide’s new album, Seed, along with contributions from Big Big Train and Panic Room to name just a couple show just how well prog is doing here at home!

I’ve had a couple of people express an interest in curating a show, following Dan’s contribution last week. I think it’s a great idea and just as soon as I’ve worked out the change of technology needed to achieve this, you can expect to hear from our first contributors. First up will be Mark Spruce, followed by the one and only Russ Hamer.

Let me know if you want to do a show with me!

Have a great week.

Ian

Happy Monday!

Here is the podcast of the show, broadcast here in the UK on Saturday on 103 The Eye!

The music in this week’s show has largely been chosen by my Son, Dan Wilmot.

He takes us all the way back to 1967 where we look at some of the music that provided the foundations to the Progressive Rock genre.

From there we take a look at some of Dan’s favourite tracks, listen to some brand new music from Norway’s Magic Pie and finish off with a monster track from Transatlantic.

See you all next week!

Ian

Hello everyone!

I’m back from a fabulous visit to Night of The Prog in Germany. This is the show that was broadcast here in the UK on 103 The Eye on Saturday night. This week we explore the music of 1977 including tracks by Yes, Barclay James Harvest and Genesis, finishing the Show with an epic track by Pink Floyd. By popular demand I have included a track list of all the music played on the show.

I’m taking a break this week, so there will be no radio show on Saturday, and therefore no podcast. This will give me an opportunity to write a review of NOTP on my blog instead.

Have a great week.
